On December 16th, the Institute for International Education -IIE in collaboration with HUIS – International School of Hue University and the world’s leading education and training organization-National Geographic Learning organized the workshop to foster teaching capacity to support professional development exclusively for English teachers in Central Vietnam
WORKSHOP: How Can I Become a Modern Teacher? Practical Tips for Development
The event featured the presence and presentation of Dr. Tran Xuan Thao (Director of the Institute for International Education, Ph.D. in Higher Education Management of Pennsylvania Univerisity, Former Fulbright Program Director Vietnam, Advisor of International School of Hue University) and Mr. Andrew Duenas (Senior ELT Consultant in Academics and Training at National Geographic Learning).
The event focused on discussing modern, practical, and interactive teaching methods, applicable to a variety of teaching situations. In addition, participants were introduced by Mr. Andrew Duenas to the newly released “Teach English with Confidence” book series of National Geographic Learning, and instructions on how to use the materials to help teachers understand effective English teaching methods.
Through the sharing & Q&A from Dr. Tran Xuan Thao and Mr. Andrew Duenas, the Institute hopes that participants yielded useful insights, making teaching foreign languages to their students more effective and practical.
