Learning has never been boring at HUIS Language Education. Let’s find out about our interesting activities last week!
Last week, our Pre IELTS students were able to come up with ideas for the topic “Describe a city you have been to”. With such a learning method of incorporating real stories into lessons, students find it easy to absorb knowledge in a new and intimate way. During the lesson, to encourage students to share their stories, teachers divided the class into small groups for easier speaking practice. This activity created a bond between class members and also helped them gain more knowledge about different cultures and history.
Through presentations, and sharing in groups, students had more opportunities to improve vocabulary, and grammar as well as consolidate the knowledge that they gained. The most important thing is to train students in public speaking skills and build their confidence. Meanwhile, IELTS students (4.5-5.5) also practiced basic skills in Reading namely answering the short question and T/F/NG questions. These exercises help them know more about real-world problems and what influences Vietnamese students. Also, these exercises increase their vocabulary level and know how to express ideas in English
