On May 4, 2025, a delegation of the Institute of International Education led by Dr. Tran Xuan Thao – Director – visited and worked with Cuu Long University, located in Vinh Long province, one of the prestigious higher education institutions in the Mekong Delta region. The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation, share information, seek development opportunities and jointly build practical training and research programs towards international integration.
Cuu Long University is a multi-disciplinary and multi-field university, with the mission of training and providing high-quality human resources to meet the socio-economic development needs of the region and the whole country. The university also serves as a center for research, technology transfer, and culture, contributing to the industrialization and modernization of the nation. The university consistently upholds its core values: Education – Knowledge – Nation.
Welcoming the delegation from the Institute of International Education, representatives from Cuu Long University included Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dung – Vice Rector; MSc. Dang Van Toai – Head of Academic Affairs; MSc. Doan Viet Khoi – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; and MSc. Cao Van Thi – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The working session took place in an open and enthusiastic atmosphere, focusing on specific cooperation topics such as:
- Capacity-building training programs for lecturers and administrators to update advanced teaching and management methods aligned with international trends;
- Degree recognition and job recruitment programs in the Federal Republic of Germany, especially in technical fields such as Mechatronics and Electronics, opening up international career opportunities for students;
- English language capacity enhancement programs for lecturers and students to serve the goal of bilingual education and international integration;
- Development of international joint training programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with the Institute of International Education acting as the bridge to reputable foreign partners.

Dr. Tran Xuan Thao affirmed that the Vietnam Institute of International Education always aims to leverage the power of cooperation among organizations and individuals in the field of education, both domestically and internationally. The Institute is committed to accompanying Cuu Long University in implementing the aforementioned cooperation programs, contributing to improving training quality, creating international learning and working opportunities for learners, and effectively supporting the university’s strategy for integration and sustainable development.
This working visit marks an important beginning in the cooperative relationship between the two units, promising to open up many comprehensive development opportunities in the near future.
